Santa Cruz D (dreadnought D-28)
This is a wonderfull sounding and playing thirty year old copy of a prewar D-28 made by Santa Cruz in 1996. It does not have any signature, like later Santa Cruz versions of this model but apart from that, its all there..
A medium C-profiled mahagony neck, 1 3/4’ nut with a comfortably wide ebony diamond & snowflake inlayed ebony fretboard, beautifully figured rosewood back and sides , an engelman spruce top with herringbone purfling around the edges and the typical double soundhole-rings, celluloid pick-guard and ebony bridge. White celluloid bound top and back with typical zipper-strip center-stripe.
The prewar look, an angelic prewar tone and projection for a fraction of the price you would have to pay for a prewar Martin D-28. Why not?
