Martin C-2 archtop 1932 conversion to flat-top

This guitar left the Martin factory as a 000 body, roundhole archtop in 1932 and was beeing converted by the previous owner in the early years of the present century to a prewar-style 000-28 flat-top guitar with the following features. Adirondak spruce-top , herringbone- purfling around the top with forward shifted X-bracing, the period correct sound-hole-rings, ebony bridge matching the ebony fretboard with original bar-frets and diamond inlays. More than hundred years old straight grained brasilian rosewood back and sides in combination with the adirondak top and X-bracing produce exactly what you long to hear. The mature sound of a prewar Martin 000-28, great projection and playability. All over the guitars back, sides, neck-back and peghead you will find traces of extensive use. This guitar was played a lot obviously before it was converted in its present form.
