Martin C-2 archtop 1931

I was in search for a vintage rosewood 000-size archtop with a worn out top to eventually convert it into a flat-top. Soon after buying this guitar, I was lucky to find an already converted version of this model of the same year with , archtop with round soundhole, early thirtees. However I decided to keep this guitar to have the special and typical sound of this guitar available. To fully enjoy the strong cutting mids and a warm bass of this guitar it had to be set up and a new ebony bridge had to be built according to the original specs and replaced the broken one. This is a loud and well played in instrument with a unique sound and look. Straight-grained brasilian rosewood back and sides, no cracks all over but a lot of honest play-wear and of course the diamond inlays in the ebony fret-board with original barfrets make it also a nice one to look at. The original black celluloid pick-guard is still there but not mounted.
